DATABASE DESCRIPTION :
This database includes bibliographic records elaborated by informative abstracts dealing with human and animal toxicology and carcinogenicity. The database was created by the Swedish National Chemicals Inspectorate. In some cases, the records relate to publications produced by toxicological societies and journals. In the main, however, the records relate to publications produced by industrial and technical associations, governmental agencies, and international agencies; heavily represented are the following organizations: IARC, ACGIH, NCI, BIBRA, EPA, NTP, WHO, and ATSDR.

Users can retrieve records by CAS Registry Number (the preferred method) and/or subject terms/phrases. More than 4,300 unique chemicals are covered in the database. The earliest records in the database date from 1970, the latest from 2004.
