Product Overview
The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals offers the most comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture and design, including bibliographic descriptions and indexes on subjects such as the history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation, and interior design and decoration. 

Avery has been produced continuously since 1934. It is published by the Getty Trust.

 

Database Content
Avery covers subjects related to all geographical areas. It includes not only the scholarly and popular periodical literature, but also the publications of professional associations, American state and regional periodicals, and the major serial publications on architecture and design from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. The only comprehensive American guide to the current literature of architecture and design, the Avery Index now surveys more than 2,500 journals worldwide.

Approximately 40% of the indexed articles are in English; 60% are in languages other than English, including Basque, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.
