CATEGORICAL AXIOMS OF NEIGHBORHOOD SYSTEMS

Abstract

This paper presents a categorical formulation of the neighborhood axioms of topological spaces including a characterization by the corresponding axioms of interior operators. Properties as Hausdorff's separation axioms, compactness are discussed, and various links to internal topologies of topoi, fuzzy topologies, etc. are given.
