Value added reporting in South Africa

Abstract

The major purpose of this article is to report the results of a questionnaire survey of the opinions of the preparers of value added statements on the preparation thereof and to identify group practice in their preparation. The opinions of the preparers on the statement’s usefulness, their reasons for producing a value added statement and any uses of the value added statement are also addressed.
